History
The college was founded as Seminole Junior College in 1931 and was renamed Seminole State College in 1996.

The campus is in Seminole, Oklahoma at the junction of Highway 9 W and U.S. Route 270.
Organization and administration
The college president is Lana Reynolds. A lifelong resident of the Seminole, Oklahoma area, Reynolds began as Director of Public Relations for the college in 1987. She is a 1981 graduate of Oklahoma Christian University. She was named an Outstanding Alumna of her alma mater in 2017.

The college provides one and two-year programs of collegiate-level technical-occupational education.
